BAJADO DEL REALEJO

Boat Dive – Max Depth 40m – Realejo – Tenerife

Only for divers with Deep Dive specialty certification

Bajada del Realejo is approximately 50 mins by road from One Two Dive To Puerto de la Cruz. The dive site is another 15 mins further by boat from the harbour. The maximum depth will be found at 40m.

We will start submerging to the submarine crest at 5m. There are on either side of the reef steep slopes and a vertical wall on the north side. In the shallows, the rocks are covered with barnacles and sea algae, food for wrasses, breams and parrot fish. A large crater like hole will bring us to 25m where we will find a cave with several entrances and hiding places for groupers, grunts, drums, glass eyes and moray eels. Once outside the cave, we will encounter barracudas, amberjacks, groupers and trigger fish.
This is one of the few dive sites in Tenerife that has frequent shark sightings.

CUEVA DE LA MATANZA

Boat Dive – Max Depth 45m – La Matanza – Tenerife

Only for divers with Deep Dive specialty certification

La Matanza is approximately 1 hour 20 mins by road from One Two Dive and the dive site is 40 mins further by boat. The cave goes from 20-30m and the site has a maximum depth of 45m. The cracked rocks simulate a maze which makes for an exciting dive. One of the cracks descends like a chimney into the cave and some of the others are quite narrow. Good air consumption and buoyancy are required for this dive. At the dive site we can find moray eels and with some luck, our friends the sharks.

THE CATHEDRAL

Boat Dive – Max Depth 45m – Puerto De La Cruz – Tenerife

“The Cathedral” is a dive site which reaches depth in between 35 and 45 meters. This spot offers an awesome volcanic landscapes formed of cracked rocks with canyons, swim throughs and caves. Once in this open cave you will get the feeling to be inside of the most beautiful cathedral with a wonderful display of light. That’s where this spot got its name from. “The Cathedral” is one of the most complete diving experiences in Tenerife. Here you will find plenty of marine life that searches for shelter or food. The top of the rocks is at a depth of 21m and the sandy bottom is located at 45m depth. The Cathedral is a cave with several entrances and exits and also a nice chimney. It’s a very exciting dive which provides wonderful scenery and marine life.

THE CHIMNY

Puerto De La Cruz is approximately 1 hour 20 mins by road from One Two Dive and the dive site is 20 mins further by boat with a maximum depth of 45m. This is one of the most amazing and challenging dive sites in the north. It starts at 18m on a rock plateau. We go down through a wall to find a cave where the journey starts. It’s name comes from the fact that the cave has hot water pockets that come from deep within the earth’s core. Here we can find moray eels and octopuses. This is an amazing dive site that experienced divers should not miss.
