BARRANCO SECO

Boat Dive – Max Depth 30m – Los Gigantes; Tenerife

Only for divers with Adventure Deep Dive

Los Gigantes is approximately 40 mins by road from One Two Dive and the dive site, aka “Dry Gorge”, is only another 5 mins further by boat. The maximum depth here is 30m. Here we can find a big shoal of Grunts and also Moray Eels, Octopus and Rays. While doing our multi-level dive we pass through a small cave with a chimney. A bit further up, we can pass through a beautiful arch that often offers shelter for stingrays. For the safety stop we stay just above the arch of the cave or near the anchor line.

EL BUFADERO

Boat Dive – Max Depth 30m – Los Gallatas; Tenerife

Fun for all certified divers

10-25m deep, boat access
The dive site is close to the cliffs in between Palmar and Los Cristianos. We will submerge to a vulcanic rock at about 10m deep which then falls gently to 21m. In this place plenty of wildlife is concentrated. The main reason is because some dive schools feed the animals. Here we can find turtles, different stingrays, tiger-, black, and brown- morey eels, danselfish, wrasses, baracudas, angelfish, a shoal of grunts, angelfish and mullets. It is recommended to visit the shallow area as, on the side (in 4m depth) are two small caves.

EL MERIDIAN

Boat Dive – Max Depth 35m – Montaña Guaza; Tenerife

Only for divers with Adventure Deep Dive

Montaña Guaza is approximately 20 mins by road from One Two Dive and the dive site is 5 mins further by boat. The Meridian is a wooden sailing boat – one of the so called “Party Boats” that was used for dolphin cruises – which was purposly sunk to a depth of 31m. The wreck is too narrow and unstable to go inside, but the hull and the masts are still intact, offering shelter for many sea creatures. The dive site has a maximum depth of 35m. It is a spectacular dive to enjoy the marine life of Tenerife.

LA CUEVA DE LAS MORENAS

Boat Dive – Max Depth 30m – Montaña Guaza; Tenerife

25-38 meters, boat access

One of the most classic dive sites! It is also known as the cave of Juanito or Shrimp Cave. We go for anchor at a rocky platform about 18m deep. From there, we dive vertically down by a wall to 30m resulting in a sandy bottom inhabited by Garden Eels. On the same wall, we find several species of morey eels: dotted, dark, tiger, golden and mediterranean, and also parrot fish, zebra breams, groupers and many wrasses. More experienced divers can visit the Virgin and dolphin tribute to Jacques Cousteau, submerged at about 35m and 38m by the World Association of Silence.

CUEVA DE LOS CEREBROS

Boat Dive – Max Depth 16m – San Juan; Tenerife

The entrance of this wide cave is about 10m wide and the cave itself is approximately 60m long. The cave is environmentally protected because of the white brain sponges, “Cerebros”, that we can find there. They is very rare in this part of the Atlantic Ocean. The dive site has a maximum depth of 16m and we can find loads of cave dwellers: stingrays that are looking for shelter, shrimps, lobsters and a spectacular display of light.

LA TIXERA

Boat Dive – Max Depth 40m – San Juan; Tenerife

Only for divers with Adventure Deep Dive

San Juan is approximately 35 mins by road from One Two Dive and the dive site is 10 mins further by boat. The site is a huge petrified volcanic rock with the top located at 18m below the surface. From there it drops straight down to the maximum depth at 40m. It is a beautiful wall dive with a high possibility of seeing bigger fish, including stingrays in the deep, searching for prey or coming to be cleaned by the wrasses at the top of the rock.

LAS ERAS 2

Shore Dive – Max Depth 30m – Las Eras; Tenerife

Only for divers with Adventure Dive – Deep Dive

Las Eras is approximately 40 mins by road from One Two Dive. This is an amazing dive site that can be reached directly from the shore with a maximum depth of 30m. We head out from a protected stony beach with a wall of concrete blocks on our left side. Once we reach the corner we’ll see a small rocky wall that drops to the bottom of gravel and sand. At this dive site we can find an amazing marine habitat with long and short tail rays and big groups of barracudas. Its unique formation of blocks, walls, cave like overhangs and a short tunel makes it an amazing dive site.

EL LIMON 1

Boat Dive – Max Depth 45m – Puerto De La Cruz; Tenerife

Only for divers with Deep Dive specialty certification

Puerto De La Cruz is approximately 1 hour 20 mins by road from One Two Dive and the dive site is 25 mins further by boat with a maximum depth of 45m. The dive site contains two yellowish rocky mountains in a sandy area and its name originates from their colour. The rocks are full of cracks with some large caves. In the nooks and cracks we can find moray eels, shrimps and lobsters. On the sandy bottom at 30m we can find angel sharks, stingrays and even the amazing devil rays swimming around the rock.

EL LIMON 2

Boat Dive – Max Depth 45m – Puerto De La Cruz; Tenerife

Only for divers with Deep Dive specialty certification

Puerto De La Cruz is approximately 1 hour 20 mins by road from One Two Dive and the dive site is 20 mins further by boat with a maximum depth of 45m. Like almost all dives in the north of the island, there are large caves and cracks and we can find devil rays and angel sharks.

MONTANA AMARILLA

Boat Dive – Max Depth 25m – Costa del Silencio; Tenerife

Diving
Montaña Amarilla, aka “Yellow Mountain”, is approximately 25 mins by road from One Two Dive. We dive the site from the shore, into a protected marine park with unique variations in the landscape. The dive site has a maximum depth of 20m.
This dive site is one of the most special once of Tenerife. The mountain is a fossilized sand dune. The sand is fossilized in layers and plates. This has created a landscape underwater that is unique. The sand-formations which are covered with yellow sponges and green algaes give you the impression to be diving in a coral reef. In the stony area we can find cracks with octopuses and moray eels. In the sandy parts we can find cuttlefish, garden eels and stingrays. Around the rocks we find overhangs and passages, one with a resident spotted burr-fish. At the first pinnacle, we can swim trough a wide open cave to visit the cave animals: moray eels, glass eyes, sponges, shrimps, lobsters and anemones. There are even some well camouflaged frog fish and sea horses. Above us we can meet shoals of needle fish, barracudas, and breams. Every twenty meters of your dive, you will be in another environment.

Snorkeling
Montaña Amarilla is approximately 25 mins by road from One Two Dive. The snorkeling site leads into a protected marine park with stunning marine-life and landscapes. As soon as you jump into the sea from the cliffs you can meet up with the local goby’s at the bottom, one meter below you. The journey continues towards the famous underwater pinnacles where you perhaps may enjoy a shoal of barracudas. Stunning snorkeling site.

PISCINAS NATURALES

Shore Dive – Max Depth 18m – Los Abrigos; Tenerife

For divers with Open Water Diver certification or higher

Los Abrigos is approximately 25 mins by road from One Two Dive and the dive site, aka “Natural Pools”, is reached from the shore. The maximum depth is 18m.
We’ll reach the naturals pools after a 50m walk over a small track. We will jump into the biggest pool of 3 that has a depth of 3m. We will first visit a cave with a window to see the crabs and fish that are hiding there. Be careful of your head and don’t go too close to that window as when there are waves, you can sometimes experience the blast of them rolling into this cave. Here we will turn back to visit the other caves and overhangs in between 3 to 6m. Here we will find more cave dwellers like shrimps, lobsters, anemones, glass eyes and many more. After visiting the caves and overhangs, we will go out into the Open Water to visit the area around. There we can find barracudas, nudibranchs, octopuses, conger eels and with a bit of luck rays and angel sharks. After the dive, you will say: an amazing walk for an amazing dive.

PUNTA BLANCA

Boat Dive – Max Depth 30m – Los Gigantes; Tenerife

Only for divers with Adventure Deep Dive

Los Gigantes is approximately 30 mins by road from One Two Dive and the dive site, aka “White Point”, is 10 mins further by boat. We start the dive by descending down the anchor line that brings us to the top of the rock formations at 12m. Then we descend to the maximum depth at 30m where the boulders and rocks offer an excellent meeting place for Grunts and Breams. We can also see Barracudas, Eels, Lobsters and Stingrays here. This is a beautifull dive site that offers all the different environments for marine life: rocks, sand, overhangs and the ocean blue.

TABAIBA

Shore Dive – Max Depth 30m – Tabaiba; Tenerife

Tabaiba is located at the East coast of Tenerife. The name of the wreck is «Peñón», a tugboat sunk on purpose in 2006 for diving and creating an artificial reef.  It’s complete, in excellent condition and just perfect for the wreck diving specialty course. With this course, you are allowed to enter the engine room, crew chambers and steering cabin. The maximum depth is 30m and you’ll find a lot of exciting marine life at this dive site which includes barracudas, moray eels, nudibranchs, octopuses, stingrays and even seahorses.  For the Advanced Open Water Divers, we can visit the area around the wreck, searching for nudibranchs, octopuses, anemones, shrimps and sea horses. And don’t forget to have a close look at the wreck with all it’s marine life. When we follow the anchor line that is still attached, we will encounter the memorial for John, a passionate dive instructor that died from cancer. Now he will be forever part of his most favorite dive site.
